guy prolly ran more boost then factory to run low 13s.

 

a stock sr20det (jdm motor) is only rated at like 210 hp. they arent that powerful off the showroom floor but the bottom end like our ls1's are capeable of 500hp+. with a turbo upgrade and some good tuning, those things can really hall *** given the right mods.

 

and a stock 240sx would run in the 16s or 17s bone stock. i know, i sadly own one.

 

Still confused... was it a 200SX or a 240SX? Totally different cars. 200SX is smaller and FWD, 240SX is a little bigger and RWD. Not as common to see 200SX's modded as it is for 240's.

If it was a 200SX it was probably an SR20. If it was a 240, most likely an SR20, but could be an RB25 or RB26 Skyline motor. My buddy has a '92 240 hatch with an RB25 and its pretty nasty when it spools.

 

ok well i went with my bud's 240 to the track this weekend and i saw the car my brother raced there.....its a 200sx with engine swap and an upgraded big mouth turbo. i was talking to him for a bit and he gave me a ride in it........awww man well its kinda slow from the start, but when the turbo kicks its over....he ran 2 times first time he raced a 350z and tore him an *******! he ran a 13.7!! he said he wasent running that much boost that time. so my friend brent who has a 240 engine swap and turbo upgrade says hell race him, my friend brent is running 315whp or somthing close....anyway they line up the guy boosts his car as well as brent....its green and they are off, brent pulls with his 240, but then the guy in the 200 rapes him at the end.....in the end the 200 ran a 12.9!!!!!! my friend brent ran a 13.6.......i was like holy **** thats a fast funkin car!!! i told him wow man its not that nice from the outside, but it haulllls some ****!!!

 

well that night i kinda had my tail between my legs because i didnt want to get raped again!!!!! so i ran the 350z, supra non turbo????? well i hope!, rx-8 and a fast and the furious eclipse....raped them all, but nothin to great to talk about
