so i was at a light and and evo went by, i quickly turn to chase it... big mistake i heard its bov, sounded like a type s and i could tell it had a turbo back exhaust im guessing he had a boost controller to, we finally caught a light and holy **** he cooked me.. those cars are ******* quick.. makes me miss my DSM.
right now all my car has is a Lid and a GMMG Catback, i have a bunch of mods ready for install, but even with them i dont think i would of had a chance... err.. i need heads and a cam

Damn Evos. Well at least you'll be the last one laughing when you see him on the side of the road broken down. Got to love Mitsubitchy quality

If it really pissed you off that much, get a Procharger and walk Evos all day like they're going backwards

I hope you're talking 4 cylinders.

You dont need FI to compete on the street. You need bolt ons and traction. A full bolton LS1 that can hook wont be the fastest car on the street, but it will keep up with alot. Throw a cam in the equations you're most EVO's wont be a problem.

Evos are nasty from a dig but their drive train loss makes them easy prey from a roll. You should be able to get an Evo with just a stall and tires. I dunno Ive done 2 Evos from a roll one modded one stock got em both and did an STi from a dig. Big cam Big stall, street evos shouldnt be a problem.

A 100 shot should at least even you up with a light modded Evo. No need to jump into HC all of a sudden. You have an A4, so you can also launch well and keep him in reach if you have a similar powerlevel, then walk by later.

Nice death. Now get to work!

I think people here underestimate them evos a lot. It does not take very much moeny to make them run very hard. But they plataue... after a certain 1/4 time it gets real hard to get much faster.

Heads/cam with bolt ons and N20 you will very veryseldom meet ANYONE who will be a good race for you. Esspecialy those 4/6 banger cars

^Yeah, replacing half the engine with high-po parts and adding nitrous tends to do that LOL.

I beat the **** out of evos in a stock 2000 z28 auto from a roll have done it time and time again. Never raced one in the trans am but would love too. He had to be modded big time.

I'm not afraid to say that my buddies BR Stage II EVO VIII is f'n fast. Every time we race, always a higher roll (50-130+) he puts about 1.5 cars on me and holds it all the way up. Now, that was without headers, but at the same time he still had a catted exhaust too. Headers are going on next Friday, hopefully that will even it out. I'm pretty sure I will be buying an VIII for a DD when I graduate this year.

It was definitely not stock, but again, it may not have had many mods either. Could have still been on the stock turbo.

Obviously you havent raced a nicely modded one, my Evo would kill stock Z28's from a roll. SS's had a hard time keeping up and I had $2K into my Evo in power mods. Matter of fact I never lost to a Z28 or SS in the 1.5 years I owned the Evo. Im not saying my Evo was unbeatable, im just saying I never ran into an LS1 that was faster than it.

Beleive me that when you get your Converter installed it will be a different story. Now if you put heads and cam you should be in the 11's and pulling really fast 60 ft times. Say bye bye to the EVO. As soon as I got my Vig 3200 stall I was out launching EVO's with the Nitto's. If you have all those mods going in to your car like you say you are than get ready, because you are going to murder most EVO's.
