Nope, the original one with Halicki was made with the GT350, and had only 48 cars on the list (including a beautiful Manta). Go out to a video rental place sometime and ask them for the original Gone In 60 Seconds with Halicki (can't remember his full name, sorry).

Great movie, they sometimes show it on the Speed Channel.

I like the new Mustangs. There is a white one local that I see a lot, has real nice wheels, not sure if they are factory or not. Anyway, it looks very nice, haven't had a chance to run him though. My question is, why did Ford spend all the money on R&D for the new 3 vavle design, when they could have put the Mach 1 engine in it? I might be missing something here, like production cost, but the Mach 1 is a quicker car with quite a bit of potential. I just don't see why they went through all the work for the new design when they had a great platform to work with already in production. Sorry, this question has been eating at me and this seems like a good chance to find out the answer.

Good kill also!

its even better to beat an old man, that only means they've been around cars longer and should know how to shift better... or how to buy a faster car

Not if you pay cash for it. A friend I work with got a V6 Mustang 2002-03 I cant remember the year exactly, but anyways, she paid cash for it and got it for around 17K. apparently you get a better deal if you got the cash up front. but thats just what she said, she could be pulling my chain

I like the 03+ Cobras too because they're beasts (from factory, FINALLY), but I'm especially fond of the 05+ GTs. Mustangs, minus the foxbody (sorry guys!), have ALWAYS been well-designed aesthetically.

I think the reason they went with the 3V design is because it was pretty much a direct swap from the 5.4 found in the F150 and the Expeditions. Honestly, I'd rather have the DOHC motor. (I Contributed )

I was was just commenting on how people were paying over sticker for the GTs so it was unlikely that they got it that far under sticker. Its possible, juts not so likely. That being said, I haven't priced one in over a year so maybe dealership are working some good deals.

Cuz thats where im at right now, New Sharon to be exact--this is my home an im back for awhile on leave. I was just curious, always good to see a fellow Iowan on the forums, ....even if they do drive a Mustang haha-the drill mod is a modification done to one of the hydraulic lines for the clutch, you drill out the restrictions in the line to have better flow. Thats the jist of it anyway, i don't know much about it myself, i just had the guys do it that did my clutch install.

I enjoy car movies, and just to clarify some things...The Cage Gone in 60 Seconds had a 67-68 GT500.

The Halicki Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor was a 71-73 Mach 1, nothing radical. /

You are correct. For some odd reason, my wife bought me the movie. Damn they beat the hell out of that car. The scene where he hit that telephone pole before getting off the freeway was totally by accident, thankfully the car still ran so they didn't blow the scene. (Saw a short program on the making of the movie)
