That makes me feel better. I think I just got beat. His car is faster.. Hell it SHOULD be.. I guess i'll just have to get full exhaust, lid, port and polish my TB, and get some gears

My self I think the Mach 1 is a bad *** car . I haven't raced one yet, but your LS1 sounds like it was slow. I ran 13.09 1/4 mile with lid and catback. anyway racing is fun and win or loose I personally have a good time. By the way what does your Mach run?

Verdad Gallardo ebear ya u did get beat but dont get down, if he didnt have long tubes (which I doubt he did, prolly just an X or H pipe) then it was more a drivers race, with just a lid, cutout, and the free mods you should pull him by at least car...the 2v cars are not that slow but it just takes more with them as they have a much lower starting point(about 60-70 rwhp disadvantage stock to an LS1), also the LS1's do respond better to mods and with a couple simple inexpensive ones you should have him fairly easily

ebear - nice to see you got away from the sixer.
His 4.10s woke up that car. They run low 14s (high 13s at best) stock. With his exhaust tune and gears, he woke up that car. That combined with you being new to your car, and V8 RWPower in general added to the loss. Not to mention the T-top and weight difference. Get some seat time and go at him again.......results will be different.
BTW - the the poster that said 3rd is their weak spot......nope. At least not in a mach...they wake up in 3rd, just like the fbods....it's just not as sweat as your guys'.
