Ran my friend, who just got the diablo sport tuner and deleted the torque management. On the way down to the EFI shootout, had a wide stretch of highway nobody around, he had his gf I had my friend in my car, and went from about a 60 roll. Started in 3rd, he started a slow pull, he had to shift, pull stopped, I shifted like a fiend to 4th, didn't help... he just sloooooowly crept away up to 110 or so. Car is DEFINITELY a new animal with that TRM crap gone. I don't feel my car is down on power, and I certainly aint mad, I kind of figured as much. Very interesting. Same thing happened to me and BubbaBFP. I guess Torque management makes a hell of a difference on those cars.... was it an auto or m6?

 

M6 with about 5500 miles. Before the tune I think the outcome would've been very different, but that's just how it goes. Time to reaggitate the mod bug

An auto GTO with x-pipe, programmer, nittos, and magnaflows beat me by a car and a half. Everyone is saying that he has nitrous. I doubted it because I would figure he would have beaten me by a lot more. The first time before his mods I beat him by 2 cars after spinning all of first gear (bald nittos and i panicked) and I also hit the revv limitor in 3rd gear. Those few mods he got made a hell of a difference. Its a totally different car. Now I know he doesnt have nitrous

Thanks man, I'm gonna wait till spring then do a cam, some 243 castings, LS6 intake, LS7 clutch, and see if I can pull ~400rwhp out of the setup. We're gonna head to the track in a few weekends and see how that goes... first time down the 1/4 for both of us, might see the slowest LS1 ever

Yes if you Delete The TQ-M on it.. You can have your Hands From a DIg that is Not doing 60 so No help was from there. Nice Rice Tho.

 

damn what do stock LS2 GTO's run? they sound like beasts. Havent had the privelage of racing one yet.

 

stock with a good driver and good conditions its a high 12 sec low 13 sec car.
