You could just let him borrow you motor for a little bit. Or he could upgrade to an 8,000 hp top fuel motor, that should do the trick...... Unless he races the vette from a roll, then it's all over. You can't hang with a vette top end.

 

last time i raced a vette, i blew 4 muffler bearings and leaked headlight fluid all down the highway. that's what happens when you race a vette

 

I think the mods are laughing too hard at all these posts and forgetting to close this thread....

That reminds me.... Yesterday as I was fixing to get on the highway I saw a bone stock C5 pull up next to a local 2500rwhp turbo 'busa that pulls .8 60's. The 'busa got him out of the hole, but needless to say at 600 mph the vette flew past him like he was standing still. It was amazing.

 

I you look at a Vette and even ******* THINK of racing it, your car will spin a main bearing. I would just rebuild your engine right now and call it a day.

 

LOL.....you guys are nuts, i was just trying to get a guage of how fast the fbody was to the Vette, i am 3rd gen owner as well and everytime i lined up with a vette of the same year/engine, i got my *** handed to me.
