Turbo with 17lbs. He wouldn't make any claims on hp numbers although I told all about my car because i'm not trying to hide anything. He said he has $1,500 invested in the motor thus far. Nothing too outlandish I guess. Pretty fast little car though. Next time I will know not to run you on just motor, unless you want to take that turbo off and run me while you are on just motor. And i'm tired of racing from your roll. We will go from my roll next time.
He is ******* bullshitting you a stock motor? it's at least a b-18 fully built motor. And he's got to be running full boost. Full bottle with at least 900psi bottle pressure he's toast. You need a bottle warmer.

What the hek are you talking about? Theres a local that went 10.9s with a singel cam that had a forged bottom end and a nice turbo setup.

Singel cams need to have a nicly matched turbo, and there pretty fucken quick in a light hatch...

Alot of times people are putting the wrong turbos on those cars and you see really slows ones

no links. I just saw the guy again last night and he told me most of the facts about the car, except the power range. I do have a bottle warmer and I beat him about 3 cars on spray. I was in 4th gear when we did a 65 roll too. Some guys that know him told me last night that he pulls this "I never heard you honk" **** all the time when he loses. Or "you got the jump on me". His car was fast thou. It is a 1.6 SOHC. Stock block, but thats all that is stock I think.

The 4 pound horn assembly was dropped to save weight and offset the weight of the intercooler for better weight distribution.

When honda guys say stock block, most of the time it means they do not have a re sleeved motor.

That means just pistons and rods, once you start getting into HUGE power numbers, if your block isnt sleeved, it will crack the cyc walls

I wonder why some of them haven't tried to get big numbers out of Kia's or Saturn's? They are in the same class as the Honda's so why not try something new?

I did hear from one of his friends that he blew a head gasket right after racing me.

In response to the "he won't run you for money:"
I doubt he will either, because with a full bottle I will beat him. I am pretty sure he knows this and doesn't want to gamble with $$.

If you had a lambo or something I could understand your..." its still a ******* honda" comment. You have a 99 cobra... I just don't get where the hubris comes from. A 99 GSR commands just as much money stock for stock as your cobra!!!! and your car was nearly twice as much new. I just don't get it.

You know the only way I would agree with you is if it's a single ohc in a chopped up Honda that weigh's 1400lbs and at that point it's not even a car anymore.
