I don't agree. This is an LS1 site. People should be able to post an LS1 beating a 350z for example, and be able to say 350's aren't very fast. A thread like that will go to hell pretty fast because of people like 25psi and I don't think it should be like that. If the opposite happened on a 350z site, I would expect him to be all over it there, and would think an LS1 owner starting **** on that site would be stupid. All he does is come here looking to debate imports vs. domestics. Honestly, if you guys like that so much, I think LS1tech should have its own section for debating cars.

The 350z is an "okay" car. They don't appeal to me much, but they are good for what they were designed for: taking money from the ignorant masses who think they can beat a stock fbody.

His obvious rants on the 350z were totally outside of normal reason. I guess the 25psi is living evidence to the statement "if you tell a lie long enough people will believe it's the truth".

 

i dunno, a ferrari enzo, saleen S7, or koenigsegg owner could come on this or any other car site bragging about how great their car is and how much better or comparable it is to everyone else's car, and the natives would still want to hang him whether his car clearly outclassed everyone's or not

 

i highly doubt he actually owned an Enzo. anyone whos that much of an ******* online will easily lie about anything and everything. i can type in "Enzo" in my sig too, doesnt mean i own one. if i ever saw him in real life, or a pic with him, his drivers liscense, the car, and registration papers with his name on it......then alright. until then, hes full of ****.

 

Theres only so many Enzo's in Texas, and I know who 2 of them are, and it wouldn't be too terrible a stretch to find out if 25psi actually has(d) one.

Back to the eulogy... a troll is a troll, they come in all shapes and sizes.

BlackMagic made an excellent point, this is about LSx's... it's not VQ35DEtech, or RB26DETTtech, or BA16tech.
As such, this site is a rarity among automotive sites, it's a real struggle to find any other site out there pertaining to cars that has even half of the technical expertise.
Given the broad mission of this site, coming from an avg. joe member, I am here to respect and learn from the LSx community. I as a member, have responsibilities, and in return, I'm enjoy the rights per se of being in a PRO-LSx forum.
Trolling and posting worthless ****, or frappe'ing a boiling pot is not a way to better the community.


The general atmosophere I've observed here is also a real gem, I can think of a few other "auto brand XYZ enthusiast sites" where you'd upset(and probably get banned by) all the shine and polish nuthuggers at the mere mention of anything manly, like serious modifications, or racing, or even a different approach to something. The moderators here do a damn good job, and they've proven to be fair and just, not like a power hungry easily offended elitist.

 

We do have a pretty open site on here, so if somone is getting banned there is a reason for it.

 

Well lets set aside this is LS1tech.com and we can learn about other cars and setups etc on here. But the problem is, he just wanted a war all the time and would post up stupied info, and just stirr things up....


Theres a MR2 Member on this forum with a T88 turbo, its read forgot his name anyways he did make a post and called out 25PSI on his Mr2 and his claimed numbers.....Also bought parts from him....And he says his claims are hyped than what they really are.

 

I'll second that. Unit seems to put with a TON of crap. If this forum were on most other sites half of us would have been gone long ago.

BTW, did anyone see the Forza Motorsport show on SPEED? LG has a c6 in the competition.

It was pretty funny watching a good driver in a 350z with suspension mods go apeshit because he couldn't pass a retarded 17 year-old who had never driven a 6-speed driving the bone-stock c6 on road atlanta. Almost as funny as watching the 350z's sweep last place in the drag-strip competition with 14-15sec. 1/4 mile times. God 350z's suck. Never bring a knife to a gunfight. LS1 > 350z.

 

I'm not trying to stand up for 25psi, but the whole enzo thing in his sig was meant as a joke. I think I was one of the only ones to catch that without 25psi having to say so, lol. Some of you guys are making a really big deal about it, who cares.

 

I missed the beginning of the show, but was the vette all stock? i thought all the cars had at least some work done to them in the beginning. it was nice seeing the 350 get spanked left and right. i only hope 25psdouche was watching it.....

 

Yea,I watched that the other day. It was hillarious watching that guy in the nissan beating the crap out of the steering wheel and screaming about "no power, no power". That gal in the mustang seems to be a great driver. Year one is representing poor build quality in the challenger and camaro, with DNF's on the road course. That vette should have ran off and hid on the road course AND pulled some 12.9's in the 1/4 but that kid is too inexperienced and shifts in slo-mo.

 

Damn, I need to find out how to get on this show and drive the **** out of these cars the right way.

 

He was a damn good driver though... I think he pushed it the hardest through the turns... The kid was less aggressive, but he played it safe enough to stay in front and lay his trust in the advantages of his car...

Damn I liked it... Fun show for what it is... Surprised it's being talked about positively here, another forum I got on ripped it to shreds and me too for defending the show and Forza.

 

BTW, I agree about the LS1 "unity" and whatnot, but it would be nice, in the STREETRACING FORUM at least, to listen respectfully from alot of cars we're racing... It would be like watching a race on TV and having all the cars of which you're not a fan erased...

Down with the trolls, but there are alot of DOWN, cool "other car owners" that help provide color to the streetracing forum, unless LS1's only race other LS1's which is not the case... It would be nice one day to see these streetracing visitors treated respectfully by more here... It would only make LS1 owners appear a step above, IMO, classier so to speak. Many here damn near make me feel ashamed sometimes of being a TA enthusiast, but most often these domestic trolls get banned, too... Props once again to the mods.

All the other TECH forums here are certainly LS1-focused wealths of information, what they should be... On the tech forums, I DO get upset sometimes when, say, someone posts questions about a Mustang turbo set-up in the LS1tech Forced Induction forum... That does not happen often though... However, I've always like to think that the streetracing section should be different... And I KNOW I'm alone for the most part... JMO and I mean no harm.

 

That's a pretty good idea. Once in a while (I mean a WHILE) there is a decent thread like that, but most of the time they just bring out trolls on both sides, and people get all heated up (why?) and get themselves banned.
