Guys, I have a question and I'm sure some of you can help me. I know a guy who has a 2001 LS-1 camaro who says his car weighs more than it did when he bought it new. I call bs because of the mods done to the car(weight deletion). The car has lightweight Fikse wheels, aftermarket rear suspension, including coil overs front and rear. Aftermarket fiberglass hood. Complete tubular front suspension including K-member. NO carpet, rear seats, undercarpet insulation, no trim panels, it's basically a metal shell with two front seats and a steering wheel and a dash. Nothing in the hatch area. No spare tire, no trim pieces in the hatch area, the only thing I see adding any weight is the D-1 procharger with intercooler. My guess is about 3300lbs with driver. What do you think? This guy is a tool! I have nothing but respect for LS-1 cars, but buttsniffs like this guy give them a bad name. It's kind of like the one dumbass you run into driving a 03-04 cobra that acts like a punk and gives all of us cobra owners a bad name. I know this is probably the wrong forum, but I really couldn't find one that fit this question. Thanks in advance.
definately lighter than stock. Unless he weighs 400lbs and is adding himself in on the total lbs. I remember seeing a weight reduction list that shows just how much each item in the car weighs that you could possibly lose but i couldnt find it and search wasnt working.

Yep wrong forum.
If you EDIT your post you can DELETE it and re-post, the NEWBIE-TECH forum would probably be a good start.
As for your question, well it depends.
How much did the car start of at??? Was it a stripper z/28 or a loaded SS?
Some chassis and suspension parts will evidently add weight, SFC, STB, 12 bolt/9" rear.
Plus the blower and intercoolers.
Also fiberglass really isn't that much lighter than steel (can be heavier).
It is unlikely to weigh more, but without knowing what it started at and specifically what has been added/removed there is no way to tell unless you slap it on a weigh bridge.
