Please forgive me if I missed it, but what year mustang GT is this you raced? Any mustang putting down 400+ whp on DRs SHOULD be running 11s. A fox-body low 11s.

Please get more info. A 10 psi, pro-charged (with block/internals to handle it) should be pretty damn quick even with 4.30s (despite the terrible tire spin and "grab second really fast" condition they cause). And everyone who suggested it is exactly right; 3.73s would be a much better gear choice maybe 3.55s.

Op said "His dyno sheet says 472 hp to the wheels". I have a fox body with 350 to the wheels on motor (forged 357). Car will run a high 11 on motor with 4.10s, DRs and spinning...
Something is definitely not right with either the car or the information about the car...

That's a pitiful price. At Gear Heads performance around where I live, a P1SC is less than $6k installed, DS is ~$200, clutch/flywheel would be ~$1,000, gauges are ~$500, and the drag radials ~$500. That's just over $8k. And then tuning is ~$500 depending on how you do it. So less than $9k down here, for what he paid $13k up there.

I believe 472 at the wheels on an '06... but he still shouldn't have been anywhere close to him.

Wow, I was reading this thinking you were talking about a 99-04GT. I was like WTF??.. Does he have a built motor to be pushing that amount of power??... Lol

But those power numbers for the 05+ GT sound right. I doubt that shop can tune an extra 30HP into it though. If It can, then it never should've left the shop with whatever shitty tune they used on it. But nice kill/death. He should've blew your doors off, but it's not your fault he spun. Nice kill/death.

I have yet to see a bone stock 06 gt run with factory tires run mid to low 13s.
But anything is possible.

It's possible, and it's been done. 13.5 is a good run for a good driver.
