Beat a built 3rd gen. A friend of mine has a 84 Z28 with the following mods (from his sig on thirdgen.org):
"I have worked over pro top lines, Edelbrock rpm air gap intake, demon 750 ts carb, Headman headers true duals v force muffler , 350 bored 40 over, Flat top pistons, 10 to 1 compression, comp cam xe274-h10, perform electric water pump, dual electric fans, aluminum power steering pump
fiberglass big block hood removed entire hvac system, removed radio-speakers, removed carpet padding, removed cruse system, and removed most unneeded wiring.
700r4, 2300 stall, Transgo shift kit, Posi rear end, 343 gears"
My car is in my sig.
Anyways we go to the highway, 3 honks from 10mph, I beat him by a car to about 120. We did this twice, both with the same results. I had about 200lbs more passenger weight than he did.
