First Decent Kill
First Decent Kill The other night I was hanging out with my friends at the park, just the normal teenage summer whatnot. A friend of mine was trying to set up a race between this suposedly fast-*** civic, and my stock 99 T/A. I was down, because I've heard many stories of how fast this car is, and I wanted to take a run against him. The guy in the civic said he wasn't down to race right now, so we just kept on hanging out, talking about cars and whatever.
My friend then showed up in his new srt, and we were able to talk him and the owner of the civic to race. They drive off to a road near our Wal-Mart, with none of following becuase of the mad amount of cops that were out this night. They come back and the stock SRT had one, so I offered a challenge to him. We go out to the same road, and line up. He had one other person in his car, and I had my girlfriend, and the extra weight from my system in my car also. I do the 3 honk, and take off, he bogged off the line and I kept a good lead on him, about half a car up to 40, to about 2-2 1/2 by the time we let off at about 85 or 90. We turrn around and he said he had a bad launch, lets do it again. We line up again, and this time he smokes his tires, and we get the same result.
I was happy, my first race against a car that I knew I could keep up or beat. My other races were against bolt on cobras, fully built supra, and an R-6. Those srt's are pretty nice, and have alot of potential from what I've seen. Now I just need mods...
