Default My first Terminator on hwy

I ran into a vert 03/04 cobra on the highway with tags that read VETBAIT. lol I was expecting to get walked on pretty bad, especially from a roll, but my auto held its own pretty good I guess. I think an M6 with my mods would have been a better match on the highway. The guy only pulled about a length from two 55 rolls (his bumper was even with my front wheels). We didn't have a chance to get much past 110 because of traffic up ahead either time. All in all I was pleased with my car. I couldn't tell if he was modded or not, but based on the 2 runs, probably not. My mods are in sig. I do wish my new motor was finished by now so that I could have made his tags say LS1FOOD.

108mph is less than what stock cobras trap.

Absolutley.

Nice death. My brother had an M6 Z28 with similar mods and raced a stock 03/04 vert Cobra that was a friend of ours from about 50mph (pretty much your same situation with 3.73s and an M6). The results were pretty much the opposite of yours, which makes total sense with you being an auto. The LS1 pulled to about the rear bumper. Go from a dig next time with your gears and tires and you should be seeing him in your mirrors!

Yeah, some ls1s can hang stock to stock especially on the highway. Kill him from a dig next time.

Yea, I'd love to run into him at the strip or even from light-to-light. Thanks for all the responses. I think based on the results from a roll, I could definitely take him from a dig. When racing against an A4, you're best shot of winning (within reason) is from a roll, so I was already at a disadvantage. Even though the cobra and I hit it at the same time, it took my car an extra split-second to downshift, so that's pretty much giving him the jump. I won't agree to roll-races when the races are predetermined. I only roll-race when I happen to run into someone on the street or whatever.

The race was just outside Florence towards Marion, but he was headed towards the beach. I've never seen the car here in town before. JayplaySS2, yea I wish we could have stayed in it a little longer to see how it would play out. I stopped his pull in 3rd gear, but he was already ahead of me.

yeah i agree also, u should taken it up higher, oh and u really gotta be careful with the autos powerband, downshifting and shifting manually should help a little to get into ur powerband.
