Last night on my way home from work I see this white EVO (newer one probably 05 or 06) fly up behind me on the off ramp. As soon as we turn right on to the main road off the highway it was on. He floored it and got the jump on me and basically cut me off before the two lanes merged into one. At that point I was a little pissed so I wasn't about to let him go thinking his car was faster. So I get up beside up and ask him what's up. He says "from a dig" and we go for a little while until we are next to each other at a stoplight. His car seemed really quick from the previous little incident I mentioned earlier so I decide I should spray him. As soon as the light goes green we both nail it. I spun pretty good on my Nitto DRs because I didn't warm them up first and had 32 PSI for the street. He of course launched pretty good, but my 3400 stall made it pretty even for the first 100' or so. After that I started pulling pretty good. I shut down after I had 5-6 car lengths on him. I didn't look at my speedo because I was pretty shaky and was afraid of getting pulled over so my eyes were focused on the road. I am guessing we went to about 110mph or so. There were no cars in front of us so it was a nice clean race.
I pulled over and so did he. It turns out he works at the same company I do. I had seen his car in the parking lot before. I asked him what mods he had and he said it was flashed and put down about 300 HP. He said he ran a 12.9 recently. My car ran 12.9 N/A so I guess it would have been really close if I didn't spray, but I really don't like to lose. I probably would have lost N/A because of the tires not hooking. I told him I sprayed him and he said "that's not fair". I said it's not really much different than your turbo
I complimented him on his car and he did the same. Anyways it turns out he was a pretty cool guy. It had been awhile since I had a full blown street race like that. It was quite a rush.

my brother was talking to an evo owner inside the local crack ina box. he asked him if it was fast, to which he replied "its faster than other 4cylinders" so my brother asked him how it did against something bigger-v8 cars to which he said "if they get into it they take me". his car was probably stock though.
