Beat by another SS

Heading home today to get ready to go to work and I see a red SS a little ways ahead of me. When I finally get beside him he matches my speed (about 55) and we go on three honks. He pulled about 1.5 cars on me so we tried again and the same result. When I pulled over to talk to him he just said he had gears (4.10's, his car was a 6 speed). I told him his car was fast for just having gears and we went on our way.

He didn't have exhaust I looked. Didn't get a chance to look under his hood because we were both in a hurry.

that guy must have some serious driver mod and factory freak to beat u...you have a pretty good setup going... given your mods i would have put my money on you...find him agian and go from a dig

we all kno autos are better from a dig

Believable, my friends bone stock 99z28 m6 can beat my friends 02 ws6 a4 w/suspension, lid, lts, full exhaust, and a tune from a roll.

I raced an 01 TA auto with a lid and loud mouth from a dig and it was prob 4-5 cars up to 100 but i figured that your stall and gears would solve that maybe i'm wrong

That's strange, with your mods I would have chosen you by a couple cars even if he did get the jump...Have you had your car dyno'd?

This is somewhat unsettling.

I would think 3.73's + bolt-ons should be enough for a 4.10 "stock" m6 ls1, but you ALSO have a stall?

Damn. Good death I guess. Should this happen?

Not what I expected either but I'm going off of his word on the "stock" part. At first he told me it was bone stock and after I told him I had bolt ons he said, "well I do have 4.10's" so........I'm trying to find out for sure. Yes I dynoed my car and through my unlocked stall and gears I put down 320.

I bet he had more than he said. I don't think I've seen anyone here with gears alone, seems a little odd. I raced a M6 SS with Lt's a few days ago, and I'm an auto with 2.73s I believe, and the first run I jumped out a car and held it to about 90. You have way more mods, + a stall and 3.73s that really helps the A4, just don't see it happening.
