Me vs. 06 STI???

Show me a big T4 spooling at 3K on a EJ25 motor and I will be switching to Subaru 
More like 4.5K or 5K on a T4 without happy juice on say a 2nd gear roll. And roll-on is still a better bet considering that you can basicly run an STi at 3500 or above for a whole run.
Now OP, if he does not have a comprehensive management and fuel system, he won't be as much of a threat. He will be limited to low boost. On a low displacement application like this, you have to build for high pressure ratios. Such as 25PSI or more. A basic T3/T4 will perform much better overall at lower pressures like 18PSI.
I know a guy who has a new Evo MR. Also 17. Also his first stick. And you know, working on the car with the guy and hanging around a bit opened my eyes. Some "rich kids" are pretty good people. Just because a lot of us could only start out in this stuff with busted arsed fox bodies and such does not mean they should. That makes no sense. And I'll tell you, the guy I kow puts some serious work hours in compared to most 17 year olds I know.

Yea he's actaully a really really cool kid....like if u met him you wuldnt think he has money. Hell he's been drivng a POS 4runner for 2 years with like 200K miles on it cuz he wanted to be able to at least pay half of his first car. IM by know means rich but i am the only child an i will admit i am pretty spoiled....but I did pay almost half of my car as well so not like it was jsut handed to me. But yea with his funds an whatever he shoudl be able to build a pretty sick sti. An the reason he picked this is cuz he's a tuner freak....and he couldnt find a supra around us or in the price range for what he got on the sti an it's almsot brand new. i'm not one for tuners but this car is gorgous inside and out an i rode in it yesterday an needless to say i think i might be hooking up a dry shot soon!

I'm pretty sure he doesnt have any kind of fuel management or anyhting that extensive so he either isnt runnig a t4 or ist making as much power as it could be!. either way its a pretty sick car if i was into imports it'd be this or an evo for sure!.....an chances are i will get it on tape cuz he brings his video camera everywer so we'll get some in an il be sure to post up but it's been raining every day since he's got it so we havnt had a chance to run yet.

Im about the same. Only child, so I got the hand-me-downs like clockwork, which I am so greatfull for. No way I could have made it through school in only 4 years without my folks help.
Get the Vid. I am real curious now. I'll bet its a T3/T4 he has, and that can mean serious business. Those EJ25s are not my thing, but they can put down some power if he gets his AFRs right.
