i just ran into one of the fastest old school cars ive seen on the streets!

so im coming to work... merging over to hop on the freeway..i notice a white with blue stripes shelby gt500. i beleive it was that one..had the same rear lights as elenor.. so we hop on the freeway...and hes a few cars ahead..im driving about 80 and this guy is way up ahead now..so i start to speed up..and now goin 100 and hes still up there...so i go faster...he acts like if he were going to exit...so i slow down..like dam o well... BUT then i see he stays on the side and keeps going straight to get back on the freeway. so he does. and by this time i cought up...and i pass by him and give alil gas so he can hear the exhaust and he speeds up and matches speed...i slow down abit..but not much..was kinda fast roll...he punches it alil bit before i do...but not much...but he jumps a car! by this point im like HOLLY **** ME SIDEWAYS! cuz i wasnt expecting him to do much of anything..i stay on the gas till bout 135 and im still in the same spot...so i let off and he prolly beat me by like 1 car.... 1 1/2... he kinda keeps going and i have to catch up to him again cuz i didnt wanna go out so easily..lol...

we go again but this time i get him to slow down some more, and we go from a second gear roll. i guess he dosnt like honks..so i just had to wait till i seen him gun it..so he guns it and so do i...SAME DAM OUTCOME!!!! so im just amazed... this car is FAST! im still wondering what the hell he has..i speed up get aside him and give him a thumbs up then exit cuz i have to get to work... the car was lettin out smoke, and if my nose isnt failing me it smelled like he was running race gas. it defenatly wasnt a loud car either.cuz i couldnt really hear his car over mine. but it was defenatly fast.. i say a low 11 sec car.

im just wondering what he has to beable to pull on me like that.. i also noticed when i was givin him a thumbs up it looked like the inside was stripped down. hopefully hes on this forum so he can shed some light on what he has done to that beast. those shelbys are defenatly one of the mustangs i wouldnt mind having along side of the terminators. all in all it was a fun death..and once again proves never underestimate ur opponent! LOL

ive raced a few cars out here in cali that claim to be 11 sec cars...but i put up a good fight...i ran this turbo hatch honda that supposibly ran 11.4 and dusted him! so i dunno i gotta hit the track here in cali. last time i went i was in texas.

 

Don't get to giddy about beating a low 11 second wrong wheel drive car on the street... unless it was from a roll. If it was from a dig then you beat a low 13 high 12 second car. If it was from a roll.... then either it needs the driver mod or it wasn't a low 11 second car.... because he would've spanked you badly!!! It takes about 375 to 450whp to get a hatch to run low 11's depending on setup..... those #s in a 2300lb car from a roll would put trainlengths on you!!! BTW Eleanors are sexy as f-ck... and you never know what they have in them...... Very honorable death!!!!

 

I know anything can happen on the street. and i know the honda isnt much to be happy bout beating. its not the first car that supposibly ran 11s that i beat. i still need to try my car in cali to see what the climate change has had effect on.. it defenatly had an effect on my tune..and yes i did race that honda from a roll and a stop..i dont have my sticky tires with me so i prefer roll at the moment..but he requested from a stop and i still got him either way anything can happen on the street.its not till you get to the track and find out what your car can really do. all bull shiting aside. JUST RACE!

 

A real 67 GT500 is a turd in stock form running aprox. times with the 302CI Z/28 in the mid to high 14's. The 428 police interceptor wasnt anything to be feared even in modified form.

It was probably a clone or GT500E with a lot of mods.

 

I'd bet my life on a clone..... true eleanors are few and far between... let alone outrageously exspensive!!!
