Got killed by a 87 rx7
Got killed by a 87 rx7 my t/a on the injured list so me and my buddy who has a 99 t/a with a slowmaster muffler, cut out, lid are driving around smoking some ciagars and just relaxin. we see this ricer fly up we start laughing like every body who owns an ls1 cause we think were better than everyone else. so we get next to him and we puch it all i here is whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooshh and im like o **** we go untill traffic were about dead even. at this point im like wtf kinda car is that, so we go on to a high way and do some pulls. we did a 40-100 and he pulled like a mother had us by atleast 5 cars we did a few more rolls and the same result. we pulled over and talked he said it was an 87 rx7 with 15 pounds of boost and he was trying out a water injection? never herd of that. well all and all 1 quick *** piece of ****

Honorable death. 15PSI is not really huge boost for a 13B (the engine 2nd and 3rd gen RX7s run). But with the right setup, its definitely not a slouch.
Water injection is a great mod for turbo street cars. IIRC a few people on here make great use of it. Its huge in the 4G63 world. Essentially an injector or two is placed in the intake plumbing. It sprays water or methanol or a mix (often windsheild washer fluid) into the intake charge. This cools it down really really well. Methanol has the added advantage of actually doing some of the duty of the fuel system. Such systems also keep the head and manifolds squeaky clean over time, which is pretty cool. It would be a great mod to a boosted LS1 since these cars can use compression really well, and it allows a higher compression car to run plain old pump 91 with a much better timing advance curve without detonation.

Troll or not, the story is plausable. The FC rx7 Turbo II can be boosted to power levels that will kill N/A LS1's. Same with FD rx7's with the 13b-REW engine.
Does that mean they're as reliable as a boosted LS1? No way.
