Killed a cat racing a Vette :-( I was with my friends Tony and Jeff last night, and we got hit up by a blue LS1 Corvette. We ran from a roll at first, from about 20 MPH, he pulled on me tell I got about high 2nd gear, then I would catch up, he pulled maybe half a car? if that? Then we ran him from a dig, and from a dig I would get him by about 2 cars, but the 3rd time we raced was from a roll at 25 MPH. We went at it and we where side by side, next thing I know I see this little black cat running infront of the Corvette, and I was to the right of the vette, it happened so fast, all I heard was a giant pop. We stopped at the light, and a guy in a red truck pulled up next to us and asked who won the race, then he said 10 points to the guy who nailed the cat... :-( I'm a cat lover, I have 2 myself, and I have to say this did suck, but at the same time I had a good race :-)

Nah I have cats, but they aren't the brightest bulbs in the bunch, you think it wouldn't have been anywhere near the road with two cars that loud going at it...

Silly cat, I like 'em too but I've mowed down a couple on the road and haven't felt bad. One was just a couple months back, just around the corner from my house. Reached down to change the cd track and look up and see a cat about 5 ft. from my car trying to cut in front of me, heard it thud up against the bottom of my car a couple times, then go up into the rear wheel and pinball around in there, then rolled over it again. A couple was jogging on the sidewalk, the woman placed her hands on her head and screamed in horror. Pondered for a second if I should stop, but just kept going.
