Default Acura who??

This is both a kill and a question I guess. So I was driving home in my Taurus from the grocery store at about 9:00 PM, and some kids in an Acura RSX (melon launcher exhaust equipped) decide to mount my ***. There are two large SUV's in the left lane, and one in front of me in the right lane. So when he gets aside, I put my foot into it a little bit and got up to about 70ish and he stayed with me. He was still on me a little over a foot off my bumper. By this time I'm getting pretty pissed off. So when I see him deciding to change lanes before the next stop light I knew he was going to attempt to press his VTAK at me. So I shot into the left lane in front of him and gave him the finger, knowing full-well that he could see as he had those damn brights on for the past mile or so. I got into the left turn lane, and to no surprise he followed.

So I figure, alright, another retard trying to prove to his buddy that 4 bangers are the fastest thing in the planet. So I go left trying to show no interest in him, and then I make a hard snap onto the street to the right to try to get him off of me, but he's still there. Now I knew he was going to go at it, two lane road with not a car in sight. I get on it and he does also, right on my bumper still. He stays there until about 75 when I begin to pull on him pretty well. I stay into the gas until about 105 when the road starts getting a little hilly, I didn't want to hit anyone, especially at 105. I can still see his headlights off into the distance behind me.

I turned off into a cul-de-sac and shut my lights off hoping he would go right past me. But he sees me and pulls in behind me. As soon as I hear him pull the parking brake, I hit it and get back onto our little road. I shoot out there and he gets stuck behind a massive Chevy truck. I shoot up to about 75, then I see a car in the distance so I let out and let my speed drop to about 60, then I get on the brakes a little bit and slow to the speed limit. The Lexus in front of me is now moving pretty slow and pissing me off. I turn off our road again and sit there on the side of the street and watch him pass. Pretty unmistakable that it was him due to the sheer volume of his car. Now I get back on the road and finish my drive home, the whole way wondering what had just happened.

The car I was driving is a 2002 Ford Taurus with a 200 crank HP Duratec. I think RSX's come with K20 motors with about 200 HP to the crank, but I'm not positive, as my rice knowledge is fairly limited.

So, did I beat him? Or did he let out of the pedal? Are RSX's really so slow that they can get beat by a V6 family car? Please answer my questions, as I have been pretty curious if I really beat him on that road, or if he simply decided it was too dangerous to match my speed.

On a side note, yes I realize it was irresponsible to do this, but I figured he wouldn't leave me alone unless I gave him a good run. So yeah, please inform me.

If he had some passengers you probably beat him, RSXs are pretty weak......now the Honda fanboys will come chastise me for saying that. Oh No!!!

Yeah, he had one guy in the car with him. I always figured my Taurus had a bit of higher end torque. Most of the time I end up playing catch up with my friends after I hit around 65-75ish. Thats where I get a good amount of pick up. By no means do I think it's fast though! I just figured he would beat me, it's stock vs modified! I'll have to find me another RSX to play with so I can find out if they can move at all.

There's a good chance it was the more common 160 hp base RSX, which came in 5-speed and automatic. They are turds compared to the 200-210 hp 6 speed Type-S, which run high to mid 14's stock with a good driver. Good kill either way!

Yeah, sounds like a base model, possibly an automatic. Good kill though in the grandma-mobile

I think it was a manual because when he stopped behind me, I heard him pull the parking brake. I guess he thought I was going to get out.

Alright... So you were basically chased by someone and wanted to confront you when you stopped? Wow, I would of been a bit uneasy about getting out of my car.

Since I've got one, I guess I should chime in here. I have the type -s with the K20A2 and 6 spd package. Its a ******* dog until about 5500, from there to 8200 it pulls pretty good. I could see it hitting a 14.8 with a good launch. only 2700 pounds too. Can't see it losing to a taurus unless it was a base model like mentioned above.

The funny thing is, I get WAY more people trying to race me then the ls1, obviously because its slower lol.
