99 GT Kill ok, so im going to school in Lima, Ohio. me, and 2 of my buddies went to meijer to get some beer, and on the way out i see this yellow GT sitting in the parking lot toward the exit. i see them get in their car and follow me, they start messing with me on the local 4 lane through town and he asks me what i had done, i told him headers and an exhaust, (which is the bulk of what i got done) So he asks if i want to run em, and i say sure and i would follow him. we get out in the country somewhere on an abandoned 2 lane road. i get in the left lane and we go on three honks from a dig. he has 1 passenger weighing 140 (+/-) and i got 2 passengers weighing a total of 400 lbs.
i dont launch real hard because i didnt want to break em loose. he gets on it pretty good and promptly puts about 3/4 of a car on me, but then i got over 3000 rpm and drove around him putting about 4 cars on him by 90. then we turn on antother road and do it again, this time i launch a little harder and put about 5 cars on him by 90 instantly. then we get out on the "highway" and im crusing in 5th at about 60 and i see him yank out around me and get on it. i drop it to 3rd and reel him in. he got to about my fender and i dropped it and put about 4 cars on him. we hit our exit and pull off in a church parking lot and shoot the **** for a while. he was real cool. i told him my full mods and he started saying that he knew i had more than just exhaust because he never had a Z destroy him like that before. he told me he raced a 95 Z automatic and a 94 Z28 M6. i explained the difference in motors and HP and why he kept up with them. all he had done was a CAI and 40 series flows. he said it was a pretty good race, it was but i know if i didnt have 400 lbs worth of dead weight i would have destroyed him worse.
