...ah yes.

Been wanting to run into a GT(as in modern day version of the 1960's Ford GT40) for quite some time now. Finally had my chance the other night, sort of. As always,..got a quick story, leading to the main event.

The other day,...my girl asks me if I wanna go to a hockey game...sure,..i'm down. I mention it to my buddy, pastvertical,...who has a SW Z06, with my old black wheels,....and he asked if there was another ticket, cause he's never gone. Sure, there was. So we go,...we're having a blast. Were all checking out the cheerleaders,...drinking GIANT heinekeins....laughing are ***'s off. The game was over,...we walk out towards the vehicles. As we were walking out,..I noticed, in some VIP parking lot,...all by itself,...way off in the cut, a white, Ford GT. Naturally,...I start talking to **** to my buddy and my girl...."I can't wait to catch one of those *******.....I wish I could catch him on the highway or something...(or something along the lines of that). My woman thought the car looked "hot"...I was like...yeah but,..it ain't ****(she was soo into the look of the car..I was like yeah but, whatever).

Soo...we dismiss the car..continue to ours, we get in,..and start to leave. Pastvertical gets stuck, a few cars back,...my girl and I get to leave a little ahead. As I passed the area where the GT was,....it was already gone. ****.

Soo,..where driving, through traffic....and coming up to my turn, to get on the highway. As I was about to make the right,..I look to the far left hand lane,....and I see the GT.

I get back over, to go straight. "Check itout baby...there it is"

"Oh my god,...that thing looks like a space ship".... is what she said. She was drunk. I'm afraid her 100lbs body can't handle 4 beers very well but, she was right, the car looked sick. It was white, with blue stripes.

Anyways,.....he's inthe far left,...i'm in the far right,..there is three lanes.... I had my windows down,..and ,..so did he. It was two dudes. I put my hand out the window...with an assertive dimener...said "whaaaats up"

Coudln't hear there reply.

But, they were looking,...and,..knew what was up. At that moment,..I guess the middle lane opened up, alot,..he went WOT, made the lane change,...to the middle,..we followed, with agression. I was in first gear when I went WOT,..and had to cut my rpm's short so I could get the 1-2 shift down without drifting around some unsuspecting cars. My efforts in doing soo,..allowed me to have some wheel spin in second gear, mostly as my rpm's built,....but,....as he was clearly hooking up,...I was staying right with him, on his tail,....eve n as I was spinning. It was awesome. I then engaged 3rd in a powershift,...and it appeared that I was going to catch him.

But,..he went to the brakes,...as traffic picked up again. Wooooo hooooo. I was amped, and ready for it again.

Now, this whole time, that was happening,..my wonderfull little girlfriend()....thought it was a good idea to have a mild,...rollercoaster styled panic attack,..and reach out to hit me, as I was making my lane changes, and agressive gear selections. She had a smile GLUED to her face but... I ddin't pay it any attention DURING the playtime but,..afterwards,...I was like,..."you need to cut that **** out, when i'm driving". "I didn't mean anything by it, I was just soo excited"....she says. Thats cool,...just,.....wait till afterwards for the physical abuse.

Now, he's in the far right hand lane,...i'm behind him, again, in first gear. Traffic opens up like he's moses parting the waters,...and he again, goes WOT, right in front of me.

I did the exact same thing,..short shift outta first before I blow off the tires......hit second,..but, no powershift on the 335's michelin's.......start to spin up top but,..again,...I am pulling just as hard as he was.,.....and he had no tire spin. He's not going anywhere....BANG 3rd gear(powershift)..lil wiggle but,...it was PULLING HAAARD ...I was catching him NASTY....he actually, as I was coming up fast on his tail...moved over to the midle lane,...outta my way. As I was about 5 feet off his ***, still in the right hand lane, about to pass,.... he shut it down.

I lifted,....my car was saying..."POPPPP POPPP...pop.....BLATT blatt...take that bitch...fireball, fireball..pop pop"...as we were decelerating next to him,...winding down the gear.

As we got to the enterence to another highway...I pulled near him,...and pointed to the highway and said.."c'mon dawg"... I couldn't see or hear his reaction but,..he went the other way.

My girlfriend,....lmao,...right after we were trucking on the car(ford GT) that looked like a spaceship(quote, unquote).....was saying,..."oh my god,...we're we just beating that car baby?...are you serious....holy ****,..thats HOT!"

Yeah!

The little chick was giving me high fives the whole way home. It was funny. We got there,....and I had the pleasure, of knocking the bottem out,..2 times.

It was, a very good night. Somehow, I got her home, and made it to work, on time the next morning. Fun ****,....good times.

Wanna know the funny part, I posted this on a local south florida site,...and a known member, who has a "beta tested and tuned Ford GT,...let his brother hold the keys, while he is outta town,...just incase of an emergency or something. He asked if I knew the plate number,...and wanted to know if his brother had been beating on the car. I didn't know it....

If it was the car the was actually beta tested,....and the car that it MIGHT be,..it made something like around 520whp. If it is the car.

The vids in his sig kind of tell the tale. The dyno guy said "575" I
believe. Sounds and looks like H/C/I bolt ons & nitrous...plenty to
wax a Ford GT.

 

Oh I was just curious, wasn't doubting the story. Plus if anyone is BSing and writes that much on a kill post then damn.

Oh and I think it has a blower on it. You can clearly hear a whistle on the DEMO video, along with a cam.

i'll advertise,..that in that dyno video, it made 580rwhp(580.1) and 510 ftlbs. That was off the juice,...and maxing out 42lb injectors. Car should make just over 600whp(probably 610-620whp), without nitrous, with proper injectors...and some more re-mapping...as is.

 

I need some new video, for sure. One of my sig vid's...has the TnT setup...which, i'm not useing at the moment due to the POWER ring not being able to handle boost,..so, ...a different configuration had to be worked out.

Someone better save this ****...cause..I don't remember the last time I gave a mod list.

Pretty much, a heads(AFR 205's)....cam(TRAK cam, 231. 237 649 598 @ 112).....FAST 90/90(I had a ported TB but, let a friend use it, and he sold his car)......LG pro long tube headers, 3 inch off road X pipe, B&B bullets,.... A&A bracket Procharger, P1-sc, in the video, that was 7.5 psi(custom homemade radiator mod and twin intercoolers),....05 LS6 block with studs, stock gaskets.....harland sharp roller rockers...QTP front cover(2 piece)....hurst shifter, ram VDS twin disc,....DRM coil overs(hyperco springs, penske shocks).....Z06 front sway bar, stock Z-51 rear, home made mini tub kit, fikse 18X10.5 and 18 X 12.5 wheels(295 front, 335 rear)....and some other gadgets, and gages...etc etc.

It runs pretty good for what it is. I desperatly need injectors but,..with the cost of a not so well off girlfriend...the car, is what it is for the time being. I'm also running on 6psi at the moment,...but the car was tuned to run on 8 psi SO,...I am running a tad rich, at the moment. There is, more in this setup. Guys make 680 whp with METH on my setup,...which I never plan on useing. I hope for 620,...and i'll call it a day, until I can build another setup(probably a big single...if I can make some room).

...soo...there you have it gentleman. It ain't much but, the setup works. I've waxxed multiple 600's...by foot ball feilds...i've beaten 750's,...without a problem,...and 1000's,...stay side by side,..until upper speeds...where they get left as well. I've ran about 5 C6 Z06's, all stock,...and I have won against all of them. I've raced numerous cars,...often starting from behind them,...and I have always ended up in front. Is this the fastest car ever?...hell no,...not even close. I drive this thing hard, daily,...and honestly,....it's my favortie thing ever. Other then vagina. Thats hard to beat.

yeah saturday afternoon we i met up with some ppl to do some runs. i ran another C6 Z06, and put 3 cars on him from 50-160

it was a good weekend, but unfortunately they only got the first run where i didn't do so good

 

Sweet man. It felt pretty dam good. It's always nice to have a passenger in the car as well,...just to share the expereince. The one time I raced a diablo with my cam only vette, way nback when,...my passenger at the time,...had never been in a vette,... turns out, his first time ever for a ride, we race, and beat it. He still talks about it,....and obviously, so do I. Same with the GT,...my girl(passenger)...thought it was great.

It's fun, for sure. Alot of work but, no doubt, alot of fun.
