lt1 vs ls1? Who would win this race....
LT1 with

Should be pretty close race. Assuming both cars are m6. Traction is going to be key. When I put 4.10s on my cars my 99 ta and my 97 ta the cars went slower due to not being able to hook them up. Now with nitto drag radials or et street type stuff then again both cars likely be close with maybe a slight edge still to the ls1.A lot depends on things like altitude to make comparisons. But I would not be willing to put money on either car.
The ls1 are about 80hp or so stronger than lt1. And think also a bit lighter depending on model due to the aluminum engine block and plastic intake.

Headers and roller rockers should be worth about 6mph and 6 tenths off et on the lt1 from personal experience with both engines if you see my sig. And that is close to the difference ls1 get in mph at our local track with similar mods. Like said think it will be very close race and it will almost all come down to driver and traction.

anyway...unless the lt1 gets a good launch the ls1 is gonna come out on top. it'll prob be pretty close until 90-100, advantage ls1, but the ls1 is just has too much top end for an lt1 to contend with w/o a cam.
