well guys i have been pestered for the last 2 weeks about racing another friends fox body stang
he has:
306
trick flow stage 2 cam
1.6 rockers
ported heads(not stock fox heads)
hedders
no cats X-pipe, 2.5" ex.flows
3.55 gears
turbo coupe t5 tranny
drag radials


i am stock m6,autozone clutchand a 6spd shiftin fool w/ K&N cai,true duals and flows
19"c6s with goodyear F1s that dont hook for crap!
so we agree since he has tire we would go from a roll 30mph he is at 3k and 3rd gear, i am in 2nd gear at whopping 1900 and we hit it i pull 1/4 car on him at this time i am waiting for this car to fly by me but no dice.i dragged him by 3 cars
by the 1/4. he searched my car for the spray of course did not find anything.so now he wants to do it heads up from the dig so i will be borrowing a set of Dr's and a 150 shot cause you guys know as well as i do
he will be prepared for our next encounter!
truth of the matter i thought he was gonna mop the floor with me due to his mods, so i never pushed the issue about us racing i just let them gang up on me since i have a sweet 396 going together for my other Z that i know they would not even come close to beating

there is no such a thing as Ls1 camaro taillights cause the design started with the 97 camaros.

yeah its funny we chose 30 mph
the gear in the stang is 3.55 and 275/50/15 DRs but the tranny is steeper, geared for a 4cyl super coupe.
i have the stock 3.42s 285/35/19s i could have put it back in 1st but i would have blown the tires away

 

stock heads 5.0,s suck even if ported, my freind has the same mods on a 5.0but with aluminum heads and he pulls me a little in my bolt on lt1

 

heads are key for a 302, definitely not a place to try and save money IMO

 

he has the P heads on the car
they are swapping trannies tomorrow he had his tremec freshened up....
he did ask for a rematch i said no problem i have tire and spray just in case
i got no reply from him.in all fairness he did come to me and say that camaro is alot faster than i though.......
