Lost to a Saleen on the interstate...
Lost to a Saleen on the interstate... Well after the g/f left my house I was heading to the gym. Going through downtown I see a 96-98 Saleen vert. I wanted to get him at the light but we didn't catch any so as we are getting onto I-385 going south I ease up next to the unsuspecting Saleen. We are going at about 65mph and I look over and check out his ride. He looked over at me and I looked ahead hoping to keep the suprise on him. I geared down and punched it! I heard him kick his car and he started inching on me. 
I hit 3rd and he is still coming! 
He passes me in 3rd and put about 3 lengths on me up to 80mph. I let out and get off on my exit (Haywood Rd) and go on to the gym with my tail between my legs. 
Dad would kick my *** if he knew I lost to a 4.6L vert Mustang in his truck! Specs are 2005 I believe Silverado Z71 with 3.42 stock gears I believe. Only mod is Magnaflow straight through muffler dumped. He needs to mod it alittle more!

trucks are heavy and slow. if its not an extended cab then it still weighs more than a 96 imp. ive seen them at the track doing 15's. so basically the saleen is probably carrying a decent driver and 14's. maybe very high 13's. the ONLY mustang ive ever been beaten by was a 04 cobra.

It's getting so that I'm not even suprised anymore when people lose races that you don't think they should. Every time it turns out that they were driving their DD, or their GF's car or their Huffy. It's lost it's shock value now.
