So i pull into the sheets gas station in clemmons the other night in my c5 (bone stock) that ive had for 1 day at the time and see a 5.0 gettin gas. I pull to the pump next to him in hopes of getting my first race. Start pumpin gas and ask the guy twice what he has done before he even turns to look at me then he just stares until i say your car kinda loud and slow. He says its got a gt40 block, twisted wedge cam, twisted wedge heads, blah blah. I ask him if its all motor and he say yes and before i could ask if he wanted to run he said, yeah it runs 4's or 5's but on a cold night like tonight it would dip into the 3's! At this point i knew he didnt know what he was talkin about so i asked him if he wanted to run. He kinda laughed and agreed. He started it up and it sounded like about 9to1 comp with maybe a 480 lift cam, maybe smaller and pulled over into a parking spot. As im paying for my stuff i look over and see him leaving, couldnt tell which way he went. Not really a street race but i figured you guys would get a good laugh about the 3 sec car, anyways still lookin for the first run.

Are you sure he didn't say it run's 40's or 50's, but would run a 30
on a cold night? People often omit the 13. from a 13.30 (for example) and just
say 30's. I find it hard to believe that anyone could believe or would
say a car runs 3's...even a moron.

 

I think it was more like, "Your car," kinda slow

 

yea..he can't be that dumb to think he has a 3 second car (even in a 1/16 of a mile). Funny none the less
