I was neck and neck with this thing till 130, i started to pull him back in the middle of 4th then we shut down, i mean nose to nose. We were from a 40 roll which just kina happened, we did not even leave to race each other.
What can theese do in the 1/4?
I know it was no a dig which he would killed me outta the hole but he had:
Turbo
Pipes
Intake
Cams
Tune
blah blah blah,
All the **** you need in one i guess.
He said he went 13.1 in the 1/4 stock with a filter box, he doesnt know what he would do now, but i am impressed i was right there with a EVO that has so much, he even brake boosted like a real turbo driver would.
I told him i had 2000$ in my car from bumper to bumper including the car itself and he was kina upset a car with so little and so old was right beside him.
Input?

Well a friends 06 Evo 9 RS just went 12.4 @ 108 with just a turboback exhaust and reflash. Its pretty quick, I will see about getting some vids of us messing around on the freeway. He beat our buddies 96 Mustang GT with a Mach motor and a few bolt on's.

Well, it is a 5 speed with racing seats, no hood for now, i have no smoge equipment and what not, so i am not at the average 3500 lbs a 3rd gen is.
The lies not mentioned in the sig due to being the old motor is:
236/242 @.050
520/540 lift
the heads are 1970 over the counter "turbo heads" from GM
9.7:1 compression.
So yea, it is not all it seems, you got me there.

Ok, obviously all 355s run the same and all cars weigh the same. I have drug plenty of evos with a setup very similar to his, do you realize 3rd gens only weigh 3200lbs with full interior and iron headed sbcs? Beating an awd car from a roll isnt very hard, E.T.'s dont mean anything from a roll.

OP, check out my post here about the race I had yesterday with an Evo. It was an 03, so probably not as quick as the one you raced stock for stock, but it did have meth and a few more mods than the one you raced, so that might make up for the three years' stock improvement (or not, I don't know TOO much about these things yet).

Cause my 88 Formula 305 TBI totally stock except for exhaust weighed 3450 without me in it. And I definitely didn't do anything to the car to add weight to it.

Being that I have owned two 3rd gens and 2 f- body's ,I am familier with the power to weight ratio. Also had basicly the same combo in my 80 Malibu.I have seen this car in person and it is in fact a very fast car..
3rd gens are F bodys, 1967-2002.
BTW Zane, your car needs a hood and a t-56 A hood would help out your aerodynamics alot ..
Ive had several 3rd gens and I have yet to have one weigh over 3300lbs with an iron engine and full interior, heres a link to some info.http://www.thirdgen.org/generaltechdata
I guess all of mine have just been lighter than normal. And to kennyxg, Zanes car isnt anymore than what he said so I really dont understand what you are saying.

Well, he was saying that there was more than what i had in my sig, he is right, i just copied and pasted the mods from my F quick acount, which was the old engine specs, i have bigger cam and my heads are stock from the 70s, the catch is they were over the counter from GM, they never came on a car stock, they are even angle plugs. One guy thought they were dart, i wish.
