Default Killed a Stang Tonight!!!

Ok! So tonight I was on the way to get the girlfriend some Long John Silvers to eat. When all of a sudden I spot a Fox Body stang 2 cars up at the stop light. So nevertheless; What do I do?....Yep! I hurry up and get beside him, since I just got my car back up and running 3 days ago. (Transmission was messed up, So I haven't even gotten on this thing yet and for me thats hard to do) But anyways... I get beside him and he's checking out my car and I'm listening to his and taking notice of the super fat tires he has on the rear. Well, when I goose it and let out, to try and get him to play, he takes notice that my formula isn't a V6 , he smashes it and I kick it down just past half way.(Scared to tear up the tranny) and I pull him by about 1 1/2 TO 2 cars from 30-70mph. APPARENTLY HE WASN'T IN THE RIGHT GEAR, OR JUST CAN'T DRIVE! WHATEVER IT WAS HE GOT WHOOPED He gives me a surprised look and then we get stopped at a light. There were cars in the other 2 lanes so I get behind him. When the light turned GREEN, he jumps on it and takes off....I guess thinking he was gonna show off. Only to his surprise I went WOT on his *** and walked him BAD. Yep shot right around him and did the ricer fly-by Well he got beside me again and decided to go again. He honked 3 times and we're off. Well I got him again and he gave me a thumbs up and yells "BADASS CAR MAN" I say thanks and he wanted to know what I had in it and I said just the basic bolt-ons and he said Damn! He has a FULL EXHAUST, INTAKE, CAM, AND GEARS! JUST SHOCKED THAT I KILLED HIM......

Thanks guys' Yeah I wasn't about to lose to that mustang. I had made up my mind after I seen him get on it. I was like "I got this one in the bag"
But yeah man It was on Madison and Pleasnt Run Parkway. And we ran down to Sumner and East St.(where Madison turns into East street if you merge to the right!) I feel you on wanting you LT1 to run again. Thats how I was feeling. Hope I responded to everyones comment....James

madison? yeah that used to be a hotspot. i've been out of town for awhile and didn't know if it was still active down there. if it hasn't changed there should be plenty of ricers to hunt too.

YEP it's still the HOTSPOT and probably more ricers to hunt than ever now. There are so many SRT 4's and turbo cars down there it's not even funny. BUT us HOTROD guys always seem to show MOST of them how it's done. There's a buddy of mine who has a Twin Turbo Vette and a few Guys' in Grand Nationals who are super fast as well. 1 guy has a funny car that goes 6's and he trailors it down every once in a while and then drives it around to the hangouts. It barely want to run though it surges so bad In fact it dies quite often! But we still cruise the strip during the Spring, untill Fall (April to October) Maybe I'll see ya out sometime...In the Midwestern section I always start THREADS so Indy People can keep in touch and find out about the local hangouts.

Yeah it's awesome....You can't miss it. It's a funny car and it looks like a 57 chevy bel air (bumpers and lights are painted on the car, but it looks real as hell. Full cage and etc.etc.etc.

01GTMustang, hows it been? I finally got the car running again as I'm sure you've read above. So you done anything to your car lately? Or Plans? Hope to see ya out next year! Is Matt doing anything that you know of? I know alot of people are building some sick cars for next year!

nice kill man, keep the LT1s running strong.
snowed ten inches in my area of IL, and i guess im waiting for spring time, because i cant even think about driving mine when the road is wet. my 275 DR.s just dont cut it...even when its dry.
there's alot of fox's for some reason in chicago area, i swear i see them, even covered in snow driving around all the time. really makes me miss the warm weather.

Toronto LT1, I haven't had it on a dyno, So I don't know yet. But it does run very strong for what little bit of stuff I've done to it.

LT1SC95Z, I know how it feels to see them daily and know you can't burn their asses b/c of the snow
But just wait till spring is what I'm ALWAYS thinking
BTW I have 115lbs of weights in the trunk and a 60lb floor jack and I don't have any problems right now with 5 or so inches of snow....But when I didn't have anything in the rear....I wouldn't go anywhere.
