WS6 gets walked

I try not to street race,but when there's a new beautiful metallic red WS6 wanting to race and there's nothing but open road ahead of you and no other cars around,we got it on bigtime with my 02 vert.vs WS6 T-Top, it looked brand new,not sure what year.

We raced from a dead stop 0-100 mph,i let him go first and he pulls ahead by half a car length.At about 45 mph i pull along side door handle to door handle and then i slowly pull away from him and win by maybe a car length.It was a heck of a race,he didn't stop to talk,i'm sure he was upset..getting beat by a stock vert.

It made my day.

It's against my religion to street race another f-body, let alone feel good about it. Next time just look over and compliment his nice car, and leave it at that.

I'm thinking it was probably a 98-00 just kept in really good condition. 01-02's generally seem to beat stock 98-00's just as you described.

In my experience its been pretty even. I ran an 02 WS6 and no one gained a bit.
