I was cruising down the four lane in town "breaking in my new 4.10" when this trans am vert beside me revs at a light. Well I'm just looking to hang out but this guy pesters me for the next 1/2 mile. I see a friend of mine at a gas station but as I'm going by so I plan on turning around. I'm at the edge of town so I do a u turn behind the trans am who apparently had other plans as he slowed to wait for me. Well being the nice guy I am, I oblige the race since there is nothing in front of or behind us. We go from about a 40 roll. I let him have the go. I start in 3rd about 4 grand cuz I'm really not expecting much. I stop his pull immediately and by the top of 3rd I'm spinning already atleast a car ahead. When I hit fourth I'm fishtailing all over the place but stay in it long enough to get it straight. I let out about 4 cars ahead and get over in front of him. He pulls beside and says, "Man, what do you have in there that thing is a beast." I tell him it's just an lt1 car with full exhaust, gutted and a gear. He proceeds to make a bunch of excuses with his gf beside him so I just say good run. By the way it was foggy so I'm sure thats why I spun so bad...still surprised me. Guess he got more than he bargained for...hehehe

 

When you say "working project "LT1 car" aka sleeper" thats all you have done?

 

It's an ls1...I've got some more mods on the way but yea thats pretty much it for now. I call it an "lt1 car" because its a 94 with stock wheels, exhaust tips and hood.

I think it contributed to a light mist on the ground that wasn't visible. I also have stock street tires and a new gear...not really used to spinning at the end of 3rd and into 4th gear...chirping fourth yes...fishtailing no...had to be a little wet

DOOOOHHHH. My bad, I didn't even think of that. To my defense, we don't hardly ever get fog here in Cheyenne, WY (it's too dry).

 

Damn!!! You got my hopes up for my Lt1 car there for a min. I guess i just have to wait and trade it in on a Ls1 car.

Don't give up on the LT1!!!! I have raced and beat plenty of LS1 cars in my old bolt on LT1!!!

Me too! If I think that the LS1 or other car might be more than my car can handle on motor I just reach behind me and turn the bottle on. I dont purge and love the look on most of there faces as I go by them.
