I picked on a weakling....lol.
I Haven't had the car out of the garage in over 3 weeks. The weather has been crappy and I'm too lazy to swap out my drag radials.
Anyway back to my point, I was "MMOB" on my way to work yesterday and the roads are fairly empty at 6:30am. I cruised up to a red light at a four way stop, on a two lane road (Harbor blvd). I'm messing with the radio, then I hear it, loud exhaust off in the distance, louder, louder and along come a single cab, short bed, SRT10 Ram, RED, tinted and loud!
The passenger window comes down, a younger guy is driving, I get the look over and a nod, I return the nod. I bring up the RPM to 1500, light goes green after what felt like a life time. Finially we are out of the hole, my tires are a little cold and I'm having to peddle a bit to keep her in my own lane. He is on my bumper threw the light and midway through 2nd. Then she finially hooks, it was like being fired from a cannon, the RPM and MPH needles were sync'd. I let out at the top of third gear with me ahead by 6 or 7.
Had to hit the brakes to slow down for rapidly approaching traffic light.
He flies into the turn lane and gives the thumbs up. Off to work I go grining from ear to ear. What a way to start the first dry weather weekend in weeks.
