this was right before winter set in, and the "last minute race" sydrome set in.
my car only had small cam, ported heads, CAI, tune, DRs, headers, no cat/mufflers and AC delete.

first run

me vs 71 camaro, built 396, DRs
went from a dig, and i was walked up to 80mph by about five cars (he spun)

second run

me vs lightly built 396 in a 79 trans am
went from 30mph roll and dead even til 100mph

third run

me vs 79 formula , lightly built 400

went from a dig, walked him by 4 cars up to 80mph


me vs tuned and CAI RSX-s
dig, won by about 6 cars up to 100mph

most of my buds have second gens, im the only one with a fourth gen.
i also have a 1980 camaro im dropping an LS1 into, cam, 4.10, gonna make it a cool show car with some go.

thanks man, im looking at that 396 71 again, i wanna beat that car, cause everyone except me and the owner are hyping this race big time.
then my buddy with the 396 trans am has a 91 vette with a blower and meth injection, and nothing else....told him i would run him because his psi is 17...bye bye rear end, tranny or blower, but his car will break trying to keep up with me.

 

I think its cool to see some big blocks racing on the street
