Default Messing Around In My SS 150 mph

My friend and I took the Camaro for a cruise, had some fun, and tried to see what we could get the SS up to before we ran into traffic, at about 145 mph she is slowing down big time haha, we are in the process of designing a ram air system that works with the 2 grill slots, i would imagine that if i could eliminate those 2 walls of air it might be easier. Hopefully with that and a cam we can make 170. Still might be hard since i don't know any roads long enough. It isn't 219-mph but maybe 1 day haha.

A4 i take it? You can get more out of it than that. I took my almost stock A4 up past the end of the speedo pointing at the gas guage.

I have also heard of a M6 doing 170mph BONE STOCK (except safety stuff and suspension) in the Silver State Classic / Pony Express type races.

Another memeber on here NataSS Incdoes open road racing too. He was featured in GM Hightech Perf. with the WS6 (Racehead) that did the 170mph. The SS (NataSS Inc) has H/C and went for 200mph.

Look them up, they have contributed a good bit of info on taking these cars up to high speeds.

Lol, that is from the thread about the 8 killed in maryland. So what part of 150mph coming up on traffic is responsible?

whats even funnier is that he thinks "ram air" will create enough extra hp to go from 160-170

I think your real problem you're not going any higher than that is because your car is a convertable. Wind resistance is killing you. Oh, and ram air isn't going to make any difference. I think I heard that the only difference that ram air makes is 1hp, if that, after 100mph.

nice run.. good that you actually slowed down once you caught up with traffic.

i hit 130mph weaving around 60mph "traffic" while racing a 350z.
oh, and it was a few hours after the sun came up, on my way home to get some sleep.
i didn't kill anyone and i do not give a **** what some idiot on a message board has to say about it.

i heard people trapping consistently better with the big gulp ram air, we are designing one that is fully sealed, so it has to pressurize i would think. I guess only time will tell, thanks for the input guys
