Default ran T-REX cammed SS

my car: 02 SS, m6, 104k, SLP lid, P/P t/b, powerbond 25% u/d, Mac Mids, custom 3in y, dumped, LCA's, reloc brkts, short stick. texraillia clutch, tuned

him: 01 SS, full bolt on car is all he said, nitto 555 dr, m6, with a t-rex cam he claims tuned but not to full potential yet.

1st race (40 roll) - we both start in second, three honks we hit it, i pull him a lil and then i hear him hit the rev limiter. he missed 3rd.

2nd race (35 roll) - we both start in second again, three honks...i stay beside him till he has to shift my redline is at 6800 so i pulled him by a fender then i shift and he is back with me, and we stay dead even till 130 when we shut down.

3rd race (dig) - it didnt turn out good, b/c he started to rev and there were no honks i thught he scooted a lil and i thought he was going so i went realized he wasnt and then let off then he came by me but i hit it around the same time and it turned out dead even again.

we didnt get another race due to the fact we got into traffic again. so we went back to the meet, and as soon as i get out of my car he asks "so how much did you spray me?" i said that im n/a with no spray and no cam. he called b/s so i very nicely asked him if he wanted to check out my car. he said hell yea he did, so he and three of his friends came around they checked all over my car, and found no spray, they thought that i had head work done, or that i was running a cheater cam, and i said no. they dont believe me or they do and they just realized that it sucks that a bolt on car ran with their T-rex cam. lol. so you all are probly going to call b/s or sumthing like that to but it was the best race ive had yet and it was a hell of alot of fun.

EDIT there was a weight diffrence, me only in my car him plus 2 friends sorry i didnt include that.

his tune must of been way off. You shouldn't of been side byside with a t-rex cammed car. Good kill?

You're revving your stock motor to 6800?

Light boltons vs boltons and cam.

I see completely why you beat him.

T-rex must be a bad cam grind. I wouldn't buy one now, if it's similar to stock

First of all, why is a cammed car that doesnt start making real power un til about 4500rpm starting in 2nd gear @ 40mph? He should be in 1st gear to take full advantage

Again, why 2nd gear @ 35mph? Sounds more and more like you beat the driver, not the car

**** happens?

EDIT there was a weight diffrence, me only in my car him plus 2 friends sorry i didnt include that.

So the dude likely had an extra 400lbs in his car? Thats part of the reason but still doesnt explain much. Again, you beat the driver not the car
My points in bold,
Good kill

Every 100 lbs. is a tenth 400 = .4 that's a pretty big difference. He's making more power than you no doubt but with the weight difference and him being a bad driver you made up for it. Cams gain power you don't have to question that, I'm not sure if you were or not. With a Rex your probably talking about 40-60whp at least. I'm not a big fan of the Donkey Dick cams on stock heads though. I think you lose more than you gain over a mild high 220's to low 230's cam. It will make a little more peak but you lose a good bit of low end so not worth it IMO. But after heads come into play its a different story.

Yea his power band isn't exactly bad, but he needs to learn how to utilize it to his advantage. You on the other hand, keep kicking *** and taking names!

Sounds to me like he's untuned and can't drive, plus had two passengers to your none, so I can see this 100%. Nice kills.

Side note, how do you like the Textralia? Which one do you have?
