i was riding down the highway last night when my friend who was following me decided to pull up next to me and run me. he was in his 99 Gt that hes only had for a month and has been talking about how he could outrun me. well i hit it when he honked 3 times going about 65 and held it all the way to 100. i dont know how far i was ahead but after i hit the brakes it took him a good 2 or 3 seconds to pass me. we tried it again with the same results. not a very exciting race but i was wanting to rep the lt1 guys.

 

Nice kill man, gotta keep those Mustang guys in check.

nice, its even more hilarious when a V6 mustang wants to race, it's like they're not even moving

i really thought it would have been closer than that to tell the truth. his car actually feels quicker than mine from a stop but it quickly dies off once its rolling. i guess that has something to do with me still having the 273s though.

 

My bud that helped me find my SS bought a 00 GT and wanted to race after I did a cam stall and gears.
He sold his car in the end

 

I've had sooo many mustangs in the past.

Going from a 95 Firehawk that had the 315hp package on it, M6 to a
99 GT Mustang. Damn that stang was a slug in comparision.

Now i have what's in my sig....now I have more HP than the Hawk, mustang and my daily driver put together

 

haha yeah but you have to roll race at 80 mph because you have no traction under that unless your at the track with slicks.

 

was his GT stock? auto or m5? good kill for the LT1.

If I roll into it really easy it pulls hard and doesn't spin tire...but it's an oh-so fine line.

 

People forget, mainly because the LS1 is such a beast, that the LT1 is a great engine. Back in the day I had plenty of Mustang guys crying because it wasn't fair. LOL Good kill man.

 

GT's are chick cars if no one ever noticed if i would ever buy a stang it would be a cobra or a mach something like that but i dont think that would ever happen either

 

A stockish 99 Gt is pretty slloowww. Good kill.

 

My 99 GT pulled low 13's consistently. And this was with full bolt-ons + 4.10s, but it was a Vert.

With a coupe I definitely could have pulled 12's.

Tell him to blow on it. Or buy a Cobra.

i think they have 3.55 gears so it feels like they jump of the line harder the your LT1 (dame 2.73) Some one chime in on the gears

haha yeah well just with cam/heads thier is no traction for 1 to 50 If I smash the pedal dont even want to think about a DS1 408 lol thats just going above and beyond what is natural haha.
