Plus 88blackgt N2O is a power adder, you said bolt-on's and then threw a power adder in the mix - that's not what we're talking about.

this is my first post in this thread. OP has a bolt on car w/ a 100 shot, and several who have posted think that 302s dont run well w/o a lot of work. thought thought a stock longblock 302 w/ a 100 shot would be a good comparison.
Stock bottom end 302 dart sr heads stage 2 trick flow cam.full bolt ons 11.90's all day! you would have to pay big money to get an Lt1 to run like that.Not saying it couldn't be done ,so lt1 guys don't get you're panty's in a wrinkle! Lol!!

Because I'm pointing out that a stock shortblock 5.0 could walk all over this car? Its facts...and to me "not alot" means without going into the motor. The LT1 is a nice motor but the 5.0 is no less better. One just happens to have better heads than the other. Still with the shitty heads a bolt on 5.0 will hang with a bolt on LT1.

That is true, the 5.0 is a hell of a lot cheaper to mod than an LT1. Oh and was that 11.9 run with a 5 speed or an auto? I think the record for a bolt on stalled LT1 is 11.8.
