This thread is stupid. I think we all can agree that overall LS1's are better. I don't know why there is even a debate. LS1 V8 vs. 4 banger.......please!

They haven't failed at F1...they've actually done incredibly well for a team which made it's own engine AND chassis from the ground up, the only other team that has that is Ferrari. (Renault used Benneton's old chassis and reworked it)They came in second twice. They were the Favorite to win both year of the 24 hr Lemans because they had the BEST car, best design, and the fastest on track day. But bad luck was the caused. I know one year, both their best car was hit by slower class car (porsche was one of the car). Their slowest car of the three was able to close on a BMW but got a flat tire after avoiding a slower car. So two second place isn't bad for two years. Who knows, they could have won on their third try but if I remember correctly, Toyota's higher official was pleased with the results so they quit.
WRC, very successful in the late '80s - mid '90s until they were band for one year because they used an illegal turbo in the ST205. After that, they used the HB Corolla (btw, one nice looking corolla) but it was never fully supported by Toyota or TTE.
CART, they were crap for years until they finially pour in money. I mean $$$$. I think the numbers were $50 million for Chip Gan... (sp?) and they had Juan Monyota. Juan give Toyota their first win in CART after years of crappy engines. After that, their engine was kicking a$$.
F1, they need better drivers. I hope they win soon so they can finially show off their new supercar.
I know there was another IMSA (sp?) series that was SO successful, they re-wrote the rules since Toyota lost only two race in a two race season. I think it as like 27 out of 29 race. I never saw this series but I read it on RACER mag. "Top Ten cars that dominated their series" or something. It used a 2.1L engine.
IRL, Toyota beat Honda on their own track. It's an even battle between Toyota and Honda.
MR2's and Supra dominated JGTC for years straight(97,98,99,2000,2002). The supra used the 3sgte for years dominating that class, with the likes of VIPERS,FERRARI,SKYLINES,PORSHE,RX7,etc.

Well considering there where only 95 sold in the US(13,000 total from 91-95 and only 4000 where turbo) in 95 that is a very good price. They have been sold for 24+ thousand dollars before. Matter of fact, a friend of mine in Canada just purchased a stock one for 16,000 US dollars for a 92 mr2 turbo.
