Figured this was worth the post. Father in law is in town and figured I would take him for a little cruise tonight. Really did not plan on playing around just a harmless cruise. Well on the way back on a secluded 4 lane road a 4th gen z28 and an R6 pull out about 1/8 mile ahead of me and then the camaro slows down to get into the right lane like he was waiting for me to catch up. I was doing 60 in a 55 so I bump it up to 65 he seems to bump it up and mind you he is like 15 car lengths in front of me I have yet to get close to him. I then bump it up to 70 still he goes a little faster as well preventing me from catching up to him but I hear a downshift and the exhaust gets louder but yet he is atleast 15 cars on me. So with about 1 mile till the red light which also dead ends that road I decided to downshift into 4th and hammer down at this time the R6 wants to play as well and with a 15 car head start on me for the Z I beat both him and the R6 (the R6 was maybe a car behind me) by a good 1/4 of that mile before hitting the brakes hard to make the light. I am not too sure on how hard the R6 was playing due to I was really focused on the Z for the simple fact he wanted to race but would not let me catch up.


What is with these guys wanting to race but don't let you catch up? I just don't get it. But my father in law looked like he was going to **** his pants then wants we started to slow down to a reasonable speed he started laughing so I was pretty happy to atleast get to show him the cars potential and have an excuse to as well. This same type of thing happened to me with this metro-sexual in a 350Z. He didnt wave at the next light after I passed him at 130, I punched it at about 70 and he was a good 3 bus links in front of me. But he prolly didnt like me wavin at him as I passed though either
