Has anyone ever raced a stang with a 351 windser in it? A buddy of mine has one and keeps bragging hows he's goin to beat me. He has heads cam exaust 373's and a carb in a 84 mustang conv. I have a 02 camaro z28 a4 with pacesetter headers with true duals ,slp lid, ftra, 4 11's, tuned, and will have a 3400 stall and p&p tb soon. who do you think will win

all depends on the setup, some are deep into the single digits other struggle with 13s or 14s. most people that brag their **** up are dumb so just race him and find out.

Like the above poster said, it's hard to tell. Race him and find out. No shame in losing to a faster car. I think you can take him.

There was a fairly stock 351W in our 69 Mustang before we took it out. It had a 4 speed behind it and was probably a high 13/low 14 car as it sat. It ought to be a pretty close race. Depends how good a driver he is.

351Ws cannot be made to run fast. That is why I'm putting one in my 95...I don't like fast cars.

Odds are that if he has a built 351 in a car that never had a 351 in it he knows his stuff and should take you. But just run him once you have your stall and see what happens.
