But the car will react nice to mods, like a shelby gt500(500hp in a 4100lbs car..).

You cant compare 2 cars that have a 10mph difference in the 1/4 IMO.
I have seen the skylin trap 119, which isnt bad and the car is horribly underrated, most shops and tuners are finding the syline makes 450-470whp which is about 530crank hp. The spec v will also only weigh 3600lbs. I love the zr-1/z06 and i would take a vette over the skyline anyday but to say it isnt a fast car is just ignorance. Sure it take 2 turbos for it to make that power but there only at 10psi. also you cant really compare the gt500 to the skyline, have you ever looked at its AWD system and transmisson on that car both highly advanced and 1 of a kind for that car.

Yep the 07 and 08s are much faster
I ran an 08G37 before my cam
We ran from a roll both times, once from about 30ish MPH and the 2nd time from a 55 MPH roll. I won both times but my car was only pulling him by inches so it wasn't anything to really brag about. But it was enough to scare me into buying a cam setup

Yeah wit ha good driver the 07s have gone real low 13s a good race for a ls1 car. The hard part is finding a driver who can hit 13s in the 350z, most at the track have trouble getting out of the 14s

119 is optimistic(still a boosted version) and still not fast compared to the Z06. I was comparing gtr to shelby because they are FI and weight the same. The tranny of the GTr is nice and the AWD too. Its just way too much overated. You need power to back it up. Automatic only is not a good thing too.
GTR is not fast in this category. 119mph is nothing because todays standard are way higher than that; viper 600hp 130mph car, Z06 500hp 125+mph, ZR1 625hp and 135mph!!

Anyway, I cant wait to cross a GTR and put buses on it without juice.

It wasn't built to drag race... big deal. It does what it was designed to do, and it does it quite well. The original 7:29 time was on different tires than it will come with stock in America (still street tires), and they were cut a little bit, but it was also on a damp track. IIRC they backed up the time again with a stock car on stock tires. The car was not "boosted."

Lol irunelevens is right, the GTR that beat the z06 on the ring was stock, not overboosted. Like i said i love the vette and the zr-1 will blow it away even on the ring, but for a 3800lbs car to run 11.6 stock isnt bad. And thats a auto tranny if it were stick and could launch at redline im sure it would be a low 11 car. The car is considered stick, without a clutch pedal, you still have to shift it with a paddle, the power train loss is only 13% not automatic powertrain loss at all, and that is great for AWD. I saw one dyno 473awhp stock which is 540 crank so its not underpowered. The GTR is a good car and like i said the spec v will be 200lbs lighter at 3600lbs should be a good competition with the zr-1 but i believe GM will win that fight. I agree 119 isnt **** and on a roll race the z06 would rape it.

Acknowledgment of factual material puts someone in the "I.D.L.?" Wasn't aware of that...

It does what is it is supposed to do very good; except acceleration. So it wont be fast on the streets.

The future will tell if the car is as fast as they say on the ring, for now, I dont see it happening because the car is too much inferior in acceleration and is too heavy.

Just make a rematch on a course with long stretches and there might be another outcome(out of the showroom cars with no race tires pls).

And how a car cant be boosted if the mph vary from 111mph to 143mph in the 1/4???(111 was the last R&T and 143 was given by Nissan at first)

I'm not hating, its just confusing to call 480hp in a 4000lbs car and trap times of 143 down to 111.

143 what? And I wouldn't say that a mid 11s car isn't fast. Everyone knows that the Z06 is quicker in a straightline. But that doesn't make the GT-R slow, it just makes the Z06 fast.

read a bit on the GTR before saying it will be a low 11sec car; the tranny is one of the main reason because this car is fast. Hell, theres even a button for ideal start!! Stick would be a bad thing on the 1/4. Its below 12s because it has a very capable AWD and a crazy auto tranny featuring a automatic start option.

lol 143 is way way off, and anyone who would put me in the IDL is a dumbass. I love american muscle and GM, i have owned many of there products. But being american doesnt mean you have to not like cars from other countries. I give credit where its due. The skyline does 0-60 in 3.4 seconds not too bad on accleration after 100 its slower than your average high end car for sure.

yeah, but it makes the lambos, 911s and ferraris fast too. But they are comparing the GTR to them so, it makes the GTR slow to me.

of course 11.6 is fast on the 1/4; it will destroy a lot of thing from a light. From highway roll, it wont be as nice.

143mph(estimated) 1/4 mile was all over the magazines for the GTR at first.

I never saw ANYTHING about 143mph trap speeds... that screams "misprint."

Do you know what magazine?

I think you are thinking of the Ultima GTR, its a british car and yes it ran a 9.9@ 143mph, not the nissan GTR lol
