I finally got a run in the SS. I cant ever seem to find anyone to run. I was going south on I-77 tonight and ran across a 405hp ZO6. We were going around 60-65mph and were pacing each other. I downshifted to 3rd and he honked it off. On the third honk I floored it and jumped ahead far enough to see one headlight in my inside rearview mirror. I had him through the top of
3rd, a bunch of 4th until about 100mph. After my initial jump he fell back and then started slowly pulling back in. At about 100 he passed me. We both slowed and gave a wave. I think it was a pretty good run for the old SS with 132,000 on the clock.

yeah i thought it was a pretty good race. With my HP #s at the wheels im guessing there isn't much horsepower difference. Maybe he didn't downshift as far down as i did and thats why I got a jump I dont know.

 

Sounds like a real good race
