Brake help please!!!!
I am pretty sure that my stock rotors are warped, reading all the talk about how bad the stocks are. Could someone please explain what the braking would feel like if they were warped. My car feels like it is pulsating, not ASB like, but I am almost certain it is warpped rotors. If so, could you recommend rotors, cheapest in price but highest quailty. I don't want to have to replace them anytime soon b/c i don't have much money being a college student. Also, what pads do/should I get keeping money in mind, and/or do I need new pads. 98 Z28 has about 33,000 miles, and not driven too hard.
-thanks Kyle
They're $61 each and will not warp, etc.
Or you could just have the front rotors turned for about $9 each and not hammer the brakes anymore. The more material you remove from a rotor, i.e. via turning them, the more prone they are to warping. Turning the rotors is the most economical solution for you at this point, just avoid pounding on the brakes or doing high speed stops.
