How to tighten E Brake?

Default How to tighten E Brake???

just wondering how I could tighten up the E brake line, my buds Z's brake doesn't wrk at all, he's pulled it up tooo much...the dumbass, and wants me to help him find how to tighten it..any help would be appreciated

The adjustment is in the tunnel. Pretty easy to get to if you put the rear of the car on ramps.

If you don't want to get under your car, you can also adjust the brake linings themselves by taking off the rear wheels and disks.

The easy way is to get the rear up in the air. Remove the wheels and rotors. At the bottom of the backing plate there is a very thing "nut" that is notched on the side. Put the E-brake on and turn this "nut" with pliers and it will adjust how far the e-brake has to travel before it hits the drum. Don't go too far or you will make the e-brake shoe rub the inside of the rotor.... not good
