Susp. Upgrades.......
loved reading your forums, especially when i made the decision to sell mt 96LT4 and buy a 2002 WS6 with six spd.. 5K miles on it...time for some mods. Appearance first then engine/hp. Got 19" rims and rubber on order should be here next week.
BUT i want to lower her as well. I have read most of your threads to get me familiarized.
My
is: DMS springs or Hotchkis?? I want to stay with stock shocks, and maintain (well...
) a decent ride quality. Car is a summer daily driver with 4-5 trips to the 1/4 mi track/yr.Soooooooo... Question #1 : Hotchkis or DMS?? or others?
Question #2 : adjustable PHB at the same time??
Thanks, in advance, for your responses!!!!
The adjustable PHB question is a tough call for me. I've always run adjustable PHB's (on all my cars) and I am yet to adjust one. It may be a more important issue with your new tires (I've never noticed mine being off center, even when looking, but super wide 19's may rub and require an adjustment). I'd suggest the LG Motorsports adjustable PHB (we've had some issues with the old style BMR PHB's failing...just a few have, but still....and I don't care for the new design much at all, looks like it is designed to snap under extreme loads...just my thoughts on that). So, if you are planning to do it, the PHB may be a good idea, but stay away from anything with a screw in poly bushing (like a poly rod end), I'm not convinced that they are strong enough for the loads they may see. That leaves you with a non adjustable bar with poly bushings or a mixture with a strong poly end and a heim joint to make it adjustable. As far as I know, that makes LG the only game in town....
I hope that helps....
Just my thoughts...
. So I was able to get both sides perfectly even with the PHR. So I'd recommend getting one. Just ordered the "DMS Signature Series Package".

Ordered the airbox lid too..... as it seems to be the first breathing mod to be made. K&N on order soon too!
Didn't plan on the LCA's and SFC's but getting most of the suspension work out of the the way in one shot was pretty appealing!!! I guess only one bill. Am staying with stock shocks.
Will let you know how it all goes in a couple weeks when it has arrived and installed. Should be interesting to see how much of the braking nose dive is reduced (if any).
Hopefully will get it all installed before the snow arrives....LOL LOL

Later,
Ivan
