Take off your front swaybar if you have'nt already, it will make a big difference in allowing the weight to transfer at launch and lose about 15 lbs. also.

Get a Hawker battery for $70-80, car will run fine with it,just don't leave any accessories on over night. You will lose another 20+ lbs. off the nose with this battery.

Get a pair of used skinnies (Con-Pros are good, no grinding calipers)with 165R15 radial tires, you will lose another 40 lbs. off the nose.

Hal adjustable shocks on the front are great for traction. Set at 4 or 5 clicks clockwise from softest seems to work best for me.

Good Luck!!

An adjustable torque arm should help, but I don't think it will do the job entirely. I have the BMR adjustable arm on my car, not the extreme jsut the regular one.

I have Hals on the front of my car, but I'm not lowered like yours is. I have the stock shocks and springs in the rear. I cut a 1.68 60' not too long ago at HRP with the front Hals set at 4 and this was on 245/50/16 Nittos DRs on the stock chrome rims. The car really transfers weight well and squashes the tires into the ground.

I think the Hals will help a lot, but drag slicks are usually the cure all for bad traction. With those 3.42 gears you may be just blowing away the Nittos. BFG drag radials will hook better than Nittos, but they drive like crap in the rain, very dangerous.

If your determined to run Nittos, make sure you burn them for more than 5-7 seconds and get them really really hot! Also try to run right after a pro stock car or funny car with big slicks as they usually lay down good rubber on the launch line from their burnout.
