Default Tie Rod End Replace

Okay so I just spent some time trying to get my passenger side outer tie rod end off. Sadly... Its still on the car. It was shot when I put the car away so I decided I had time to replace during the winter. I had off work today so I decided to try it. Well I couldn't get it off so I just replaced my fog lights with brighter ones. Anyhow I would like some help on how to get them off. I would like to replace it then when the car comes out in the spring I can go and get a front end alignment.

Is it "frozen" in place on the inner tie rod or to the spindle? Can you get the locknut backed off? Have you tried to heat it up with a torch?

Use a tie rod puller instead of a pickle fork.

See that's the thing I can get the castle nut off and everything loose but I can't get the lock nut off. I beat the **** out of my wrench trying to loosen that thing. I'll have to try to torch it.

There's a "lock nut" at the end of the outer tie rod. It keeps the outer tie rod end from rotating on the inner tie rod.

uwarm it up with with two hammers (back it up with one and hammer with the other after soaking with wd 40 or something ) are you sure you are turning it the correct way ? I did change them over 50 years and still "get side tracked" and try to turn the lock nut the wrong way , but I am sure you are younger and more aleart, get a cheater or long wrench so you may get more leverage
