Default Spring I.D.

I finally got some springs in from AJ Gonzales, but I can't positively ID them. He was supposed to send me front 1LE springs, but the part number on them doesn't match (22156xxx I can't remember the last three right now), and I can't even find spring with a part number that has 56 in it in my parts book.
These springs have one less coil, thicker steel, and are about an inch shorter than stock Z28 springs, but otherwise, they are the same general design.

Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

One less coil and thicker steel will both increase spring rate (that sounds positive for being an upgraded spring). I can't say that they are 1LE springs, but I'd say they are a heavier spring rate than stock.

Hopefully someone will have the part numbers handy and drop in here for you.

Good luck!

Yeah, they're increased rate (and linear), which I want, but I didn't think that the 1LE were an inch shorter. I have seen in one place where it said they were about 3/4" shorter.....

Main thing is, I just want to make sure the guy didn't play funny games with me.....He's the one I had problems with, saying he shipped the springs when he didn't. I finally threatened him with filing a mail fraud complaint with the post office, and he suddenly found a set to send me.

I wonder if they could be Pontiac springs, because I have front WS6 springs on the front of my car (I have a V6), and they also have a goofy p/n that doesn't show up in my book.

It'd be odd that GM would use different p/n's for the same springs on different brand cars, but, then again, we are talking about GM, eh? Thanks.
