Default broken spring perch maybe??

OK so driving like an ******* tonight i go to do donuts after being egged on by some ford douche cut the wheel to the left, dump the clutch and bang and some grinding/squeaking noise. jack it up with the lovely factory jack and the axles seem fine, lower the car and the nasty squeak or grind w/e happens and continues when i push down on the car. from the little but i can see under the car and through the rim it looks like my passenger spring isn't in the right place so some buddies where thinking it could be the spring perch. What do you guys think? has this ever happened to you? I'm going to try and get pics tomorrow when I've got it in the air, I'm just frustrated and figured I'd see if you guys had anything helpful. what pisses me off the most is i have never had a problem in the last 10,000 miles I've put on the car in 8 months until i get a beater and stop driving the TA so much. in the past 2 weeks i had to replace the water pump and now this BS.
