Default Does adj phb cause any binding?

I currently have a non adj phb. The rear is not centered and i would like to center it. I do have a question though. I have LCAs with the poly bushings and the relocation brackets for them. If I purchase an adj panhard bar and move the rear to center it wont this put pressure or bind on the LCAs as they are attached to the rear and subframe?

This is how I would do it:

Before centering of the rear axle, I would loosen the LCA-bolts, so that they can follow the movement of the rear.

When the axle is centered, I would retighten everything. The car should stand on the wheels (not lifted, hanging down the rear axle) during the whole procedure.

Doing it this way, you should end up with a minimum of binding.

i'd say it'd cause less bind than their is now. i agree with the procedure above. loosen it so it can more and then tighten everything when it's under load. if you think about it, right now the rear is not centered in relation to the frame. this means that your lca's have to be angled to connect to your rear. centering the rear will fix this.

either way, poly poly lca's will cause bind in hard turns. judging from your sig however, i don't think you really care about turning hahah.

Thumbs up

When viewed from above(PHB), there will be a slight swing from left to right(like a windshield wiper) as the suspension cycles up/down. So there's not much problem with using poly on the PHB, as compared to the R.L.C.A., But IMO, I would still recommend rod-end or JJ on at least the axle end of the PHB, if not both ends.

IMO, If your worried about bind causing any problems, ditch the poly/poly Lca and get some Lca's that will allow a decent amount of articulation.

If the rear isn't currently centered, you NOW have a bind situation with the LCAs. Centering the rear will get the LCAs back parallel to their mounting points.
