Default Wheel spacers and handling

Are there any negative effect to handling when using wheel spacers? I am thinking of doing the C6 Z06 brack swap and will need to use a 1/2" spacer to clear the calipers.

Thumbs up

Probably no ill effects to handling, but you got to figure it puts a little more stress on the studs, axles and bearings to hang the rims farther out from the stock location. I just installed 20mm (about 3/4") spacers and used the H&R Hubcentric spacers. Very high qualty pieces. They bolt to the axle with special lug nuts and the rims bolt to the spacer with your lug nuts. I wouldn't use just regular spacers because then you have to deal with longer studs and other issues.

Wheel spacers are a great tuning tool.

The relationship of the tire's contact patch and lower shock mount is actually a lever. You can change the effective spring rate by using a wheel spacer.

I am interested in possibly getting the H & R hubcentric spacers. It looks like the best design that I have found, but I am having difficulty locating somewhere to buy them. Can someone let me know a good site to buy these spacers?

whats a good brand for some spacers? Cause the ones that H&R makes are too big. And where can I get them. I want something between 5-15mm.

I would just make sure the spacers are safe. Before I installed my spacers, I did my research and came to the conclusion that the longer ARP wheel studs wouldn't be such a bad idea to have with open lugs. I have no evidence that it helps, but I figured I would insure myself with a safe route.
